This is the one page on Apex & Armor that uses the word “deal,” and it earns the word by being careful with it. Below you will find what has historically gone on sale in motorcycle gear and what almost never does — with the pages we read to say so — a buy-now-or-wait call for each kind of gear, and a list of which of our own picks are genuinely discounted today, generated from the same live price feed that powers every button on this site. No percentage on this page is ours, and none is a prediction.

Every product we rank is price-checked daily. When the retailer reports a list price above the current price, the pick appears here with the retailer’s own percentage — biggest cut first. Today’s figures were read on September 22, 2026. This is the live part of the page, and the only place on the site a product is ever called discounted.

What historically goes on sale — and what rarely does

We read the major US motorcycle retailers’ holiday pages and the big brands’ own Black Friday pages on September 12, 2026, as they stood ahead of this year’s sale. Here is what those pages actually show, category by category. Every figure below is quoted from a source listed at the bottom of this page.

Helmets: the discounts are on closeouts, not current models

RevZilla’s previous-season holiday helmet page is the clearest example. Every one of the 42 helmets listed on it was marked “Closeout,” with savings shown from 13% to 68% — prior-year graphics, discontinued models, and outgoing lines, from brands the page names as Bell, Shoei, Scorpion, Icon and Schuberth. What was not on that page was a current model in a current solid color at a cut price.

There is a structural reason, and Shoei published it. Since January 2017, Shoei’s US advertising policy has allowed dealers to advertise current Shoei products only by “showing no price information at all or by showing the then-current MSRP” — replacing an earlier allowance of up to 10% off. The policy is about advertising; Shoei states it does not control the price a dealer actually sells at. But it means the “Shoei deal” you see promoted in November is, in practice, an outgoing graphic on the closeout rack. That is still a genuinely good buy: the shell, liner and certification are identical to the current graphic. Two checks before you take it: confirm the size is the one you were fitted for (closeouts run out of sizes first), and read the manufacture date stamp inside the shell, because helmet materials age from that date — our replacement guide explains why.

Jackets, gloves and boots: brand-level cuts, closeout-heavy

RevZilla’s previous-season riding-gear page carried brand banners reading “Alpinestars up to 40% Off,” “REV’IT! up to 30% Off” and “Klim up to 40% off,” and roughly 356 of the items on it were labeled closeout, alongside current full-price stock. The pattern is the same as helmets: the deep cuts are on last season’s colorways and discontinued models, and the sizes that are left are the sizes nobody bought. If you are flexible on color, that is an opportunity; if you need a specific current model in a specific size, it usually is not.

Intercoms: the category where waiting has most clearly paid

This is the one class of motorcycle gear where a maker has published a Black Friday number itself. Cardo’s own announcement on November 27, 2024 read, in full: “25% off alert! Cardo Systems Black Friday Sale 11/28. Upgrade your ride in US & Canada.” Cardo posted a Black Friday sale again in 2025 without stating a figure in the post. On the retail side, Cycle Gear’s standing Black Friday intercom page, read in September 2026, listed current Sena models at 10% off (the 50S, 50R and 5R) and prior-generation or dual-pack units at 20% to 30% off.

Two honest caveats. First, none of that is a promise about 2026: Cardo’s own Black Friday page was a dormant product page with ordinary bundle pricing when we read it in September. Second, intercom prices move all year — the live list at the top of this page shows what the retailer feed reports today, and on the day we wrote this several Cardo and Sena units were already showing a list-price discount without any sale being on.

Airbag vests: the maker says it discounts; it does not say how much

Alpinestars’ own Black Friday page, read in September, was a sign-up holding page stating the sale is “coming back in november 2026” and naming motorcycle jackets, footwear, gloves, protection gear and Tech-Air systems among the categories it covers. The only percentage on the page was for motocross gear sets. So: Alpinestars does run a Black Friday event that includes its airbag systems, and it publishes no figure for them in advance. If you are considering a Tech-Air and your current protection is adequate, November is a reasonable time to look; if you have no back protection at all, a certified insert now costs very little and does not need to wait.

What we found no evidence of discounting

Small certified armor — back protector inserts, knee and elbow guards — and base layers. We found no maker running a Black Friday program for these, and on a $50 item the absolute saving from a retailer cut is small either way. These are buy-when-needed purchases. The same goes for earplugs and the other under-$50 essentials.

Buy now, or wait for November?

A safety-first site has to say this plainly: gear you need for the ride you are taking tomorrow is not a wait-for-a-sale purchase. With that as the floor, here is the honest call by product class.

How we will handle deals when they go live

• Every deal comes from the price feed. A product appears in the discounted list when the retailer reports a list price above the current price, with the retailer’s percentage. We do not type deals in, and we do not adjust the figures.
• Nothing changes about how we rank. A discount does not move a helmet up our list. Certification, spec and fit decide the ranking; the sale decides the price.
• We will say when a “deal” is not one. A novelty helmet at 70% off is still not a helmet, and a closeout lid manufactured years ago is worth less than its price suggests. NHTSA’s guidance on spotting an uncertified helmet applies twice as hard in a sale.
• Dates get added as they are announced. Amazon’s 2025 event ran from Thursday, November 20 through Cyber Monday, December 1; when 2026’s dates are published we will add them here.
